Lady Gaga has joined Jenna Ortega in the filming of Wednesday’s Season 2. Details about Lady Gaga’s character—and how much she will participate—are yet to be released.
Lady Gaga’s 2011 hit “Bloody Mary” went viral when Wednesday fans spliced it together with a clip of Jenna dancing at the Rave’n Dance in Season 1 of the hit Netflix series. The result spurred Jenna to suggest a place for Lady Gaga in Season 2. At the 2023 Golden Globes red carpet, Jenna shared her ideas on how Gaga might be integrated into the storyline.
“I’m sure Netflix would love that. I think Ms. Thornhill and Wednesday had this weird mentor relationship or kind of understood each other in a certain way, so, if Lady Gaga were to be a part, I think it would have to be two monsters that understand each other.”
Lady Gaga, known for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel, portrayed “The Countess”, also known as Elizabeth Johnson, a centenarian vampire who preserved her youth by consuming human blood. In one instance, she wounded herself to transmit an ancient blood virus within her. Gaga sounds like the perfect actress to add to the horror aspect of Season 2.
So far, there is no release date for Season 2, but the best estimate so far places it around early Summer of 2025.
