Now that Wednesday Season 2 is in post-production, fans have been looking for any extra tidbit of news prior to its release. With that in mind, Netflix has provided a “data dump” to reward us all.
Thanks to an early teaser for Season 2 featuring Thing and Wednesday, we already know the title of the first episode. With a more recent report on What’s on Netflix, we have the names of episode 2, 3 and 4. Here’s the lineup:
- 1. Here We Woe Again
- 2. If These Woes Could Talk
- 3. The Devil You Woe
- 4. The Great Outwoes
Alas, the names of the remaining four episodes will stay a secret (at least for now).
Tim Burton will be directing four episodes in Season 2, but we’re not sure which four they will be. Paco Cabezas will be joining Burton as co-director for several episodes. He has previously worked on the Netflix shows The Umbrella Academy and The Alienist.
Besides Jenna, actors Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin / The Hyde), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene Ottinger), Georgie Farmer (Ajax Petropolus), and Victor Dorobantu (Thing) are returning for Season 2. Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Deputy Ritchie Santiago) are now series regulars. Gracy Goldman (Gabrielle Barclay) will return for Season 2 in four episodes following her guest lead appearance in Season 1.
New cast members on Wednesday Season 2 include Steve Buscemi (Principal Barry Dort), Billie Piper (Capri), Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. Guest stars will include Christopher Lloyd (who played Uncle Fester in an earlier iteration of The Addams Family but whose part this time remains a mystery), Joanna Lumley (Grandmama), Thandiwe Newton (Dr. Fairburn), Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Joonas Suotamo. The second season also features a very special cameo by Lady Gaga.
Several new actors and their character names have recently been announced by Netflix, including Liv Spencer (Varicose), Neri Zaccardelli (Stassa), Andrew Macklin (Gregg Mulligan), Kerry Shale (Gabe Packard) and Derek Miller (Dwayne). Megan Elle Day (Jennifer Tessbaum) joins for episodes 3 and 4. Clare Gavin joins in an unknown role.
Wednesday Season 2 is expected to air some time this summer. Perhaps a Wednesday in July?
